Do I need Power BI Desktop to use Forge?
Yes, to open the result. Forge gives you a zip: unzip it, open the .pbip in Power BI Desktop (free) and click Refresh once. The demo data is embedded, nothing to connect. Then replace the Data table with yours and the visuals follow.
How do tokens work?
Tokens are our flexible usage currency. Dashboard generation costs 20 to 80 tokens depending on the AI model you pick: lighter models like Qwen Image cost 20, premium models like Nano Banana Pro cost 80. An analysis costs 40 tokens, a Forge project 30. Free gives you 120 tokens a month, Pro 1200.
Is the .pbip really editable?
It is a real Power BI project: a PBIP manifest, a PBIR report and a TMDL model, all plain text files. Every visual is native, so you can move it, restyle it and bind it to your own table in Desktop, version the folder in Git, or let an AI agent rewrite a page.
What happens to my data?
Generate and Forge never see your data: they work from your brief and ship demo placeholders. Analyze only receives the screenshot you upload, used for that analysis and stored in your projects until you delete them.
Which palettes are included in Free?
Ten of the eighteen palettes, light and dark, across Generate, Materials and Forge. Pro unlocks the eight premium palettes, the Custom Studio in your own brand colors, and your custom materials inside Forge.
When do Tableau, Looker and Qlik get their own Forge?
Forge compiles to Power BI today. Generate and Analyze already style dashboards for Power BI, Tableau, Looker and Qlik. The other compilers are on the roadmap, without a date yet.
Can I try ChartCraft before upgrading?
Yes. The Free plan gives you 120 tokens monthly, enough for 4 dashboard generations (up to 6 with lighter models) or 3 analyses to explore ChartCraft without adding a card.
Which AI models can I use?
Free includes 3 models: Qwen Image (20 tokens), Seedream 5 Lite (30) and Recraft V4 (40). Pro unlocks 2 premium models on top: GPT Image 2 (40) and Nano Banana Pro (80), the sharpest, most faithful dashboard renders.
What happens when I run out of tokens?
Pro subscribers can purchase additional token packs starting at 4 euros for 400 tokens. Free users can upgrade to Pro to unlock 1200 monthly tokens and access to token packs.
What are Materials?
Materials is a curated library of dashboard design assets (sidebar backgrounds, KPI cards, page backgrounds and heroes) in curated color palettes. Anyone can browse and download them with a free account, and compose full mockups in the Composer. With Pro, the Custom Studio generates any of these assets in your own brand colors.
Do you support multiple BI tools?
Generate and Analyze style dashboards for Power BI, Tableau, Looker and Qlik, so teams stay aligned across stacks. Forge exports a real Power BI project today; the other tools follow.
Can I cancel anytime?
Of course. Manage your subscription directly from ChartCraft: your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
